Thomas Tuchels No 2, Anthony Barry, has emerged as a front-runner for the Crystal Palace job, according to the Mirror.

The England assistant coach is reportedly attracting interest as Palace consider their managerial options amid growing uncertainty over Pierre Sages future at Selhurst Park.

Barry, who has worked alongside Tuchel at Chelsea and Bayern Munich, is suggested to be keen on stepping into a Premier League head coaching role.

The 40-year-old extended his contract with the Football Association until 2028.

The goalkeeper, who turned 18 earlier this month, has featured for Spurs' U19s this season while continuing to train with senior stoppers Lize Kop and Selma Panengstuen.

A Tottenham academy product, Jackson has also featured for England's youth teams.

I know I still can be a better version of myself, and thats what motivates me every day. I want to score goals, help the team and give our fans something to be proud of.

Latest from Your Site News' Lyall Thomas:

Scott Parker is close to being appointed as West Ham boss to replace the sacked Nuno Espirito Santo, Your Site News understands.

Discussions are already believed to be at an advanced stage with the former Hammers midfielder.

Parker has previously promoted three clubs to the Premier League: Fulham, Bournemouth and Burnley.

He was sacked by Burnley when their relegation was confirmed last April.

West Ham sack Nuno

West Ham have confirmed the sacking of head coach Nuno Espirito Santo.

The Hammers sit eighth in the Championship after Saturday's 3-1 home defeat to West Brom.

Mark Noble, Steve Potts and Gerard Prenderville will take charge of the team's preparations for Wednesday's trip to Cardiff in the league.

West Ham say the process of recruiting a new head coach is "already underway".

Nuno has been relieved of his duties on the same day he was due to hold a news conference ahead of the Cardiff game.

West Ham had been widely expected to go straight back up to the Premier League following last season's relegation but have not had an easy return to the Championship.

The Hammers sit four points off the automatic promotion places after picking up just six wins from their first 13 matches.

The club statement says the board of directors felt a change was "necessary" to ensure West Ham's "objectives and expectations remain on track".

Nuno's assistant head coach Rui Pedro Silva and goalkeeper coach Rui Barbosa have also departed.

Allan targets Man City breakthrough after earning first Brazil call-up

Brazilian winger Allan is hoping to establish himself at Manchester City and force his way firmly into the international picture.

Allan, who joined City from Palmeiras in the summer, has received his first senior call-up for this month's friendlies against Japan and Singapore.

That is despite the 22-year-old not yet starting a Premier League game, with both of his appearances so far coming as a late substitute.

He has, however, started twice in the Carabao Cup and once in the Champions League.

Allan told the club's media outlets: "Every boy dreams of wearing the national-team shirt, and it would be a very rewarding moment for me.

"I believe that here in the UK, because it is a high-level championship, if I can manage to play my football and do well in the matches, they will see me differently (in Brazil).

"I want to promise Manchester City fans that I will give absolutely everything to make the most of this opportunity.

"I will give 100 per cent in training and make the best case possible to the manager that I should be playing. My intention is to help City win trophies. If I can do that it would be a dream come true."
